Satellite SSTV Frequencies
Each satellite has its own particular band of frequencies. Since the SSB satellites are not heavily populated, the voice hams tend to use the middle of the receive band and the CW hams use the low end of the receive band. So a number of us have been using the upper end of the receive band for SSTV.
On AO-10, we have been using 145.940 Mhz USB for receive and ~435.070 Mhz LSB for transmit.
On FO-20 and FO-29 the SSTV frequency of choice has been 435.880 USB for receive and ~145.925 LSB for transmit.
I generally start out with the above receive frequencies, but the transmit uplink frequency is adjusted so that the SSB voice sounds natural on the downlink. Then when I send a full duplex SSTV picture, I keep adjusting the transmit frequency so the received SSTV picture keeps the downlink sync frequency at 1200 Hz.
