Ultimate Charger IIs in Use

This Ultimate Charger II is maintaining the charge on 5 airplanes (a profile Extra 300 is just to the right of the picture) and a JR 347 Transmitter. Power to each airplane is provided by 5' to 10' long speaker wire leads from the charger. 2 spare channels are available for charging spare batteries.
The 12v Lead battery in the flightbox is also being charged, and should wall AC power fail in a storm, the flightbox battery will continue to run the Ultimate Charger II until AC is restored.

Another Ultimate Charger II is used to maintain the charge on two large planes. The Aeroworks Edge 540T (104" wingspan) with a Sachs 5.8 cu.in. on glow has a 6v 1700mah Nicad battery.
"The Convertible" is my own design airplane with a rare MOKI Opposed Twin 5.4 cu.in. on ignition. This airplane has a dual set of 90" wings and elevators - one as a Giles 202 and the other set is as an Edge 540T. The ignition battery is 6v 800 mah and the radio battery is 6v 1600 mah.
This is only 3 of the 8 channels, so plenty of expansion room is available. Two 6v 4 amp Lead backup batteries are kept behind the charger. A metal case for the charger and backup batteries is behind the Edge 540T. I put this Ultimate Charger II in the case when I go away to contests. The charger has RCA phono jacks (Radio Shack 274-346) on the front so a minimum number of cables can be used when operating in the field.
