W0LMD SSTV Keyboard as built by K7YZZ
Another fun project inspired by W0LMD. I received a prototype model of a SSTV keyboard from Robert so I could try it out before building one for my self. His unit worked as he described so I returned it to him and began looking for parts to build one for myself. Way back then, keyboards, used or otherwise, were very hard to find. I finally found a keyboard that was originally used in a stock market function. I constructed a home made case for the thing and proceeded to build up the circuits. It worked like his unit but it took a while for me to get used to the key layout. Today with the availability of keyboards at fantastic low prices this should be a much easier unit to build and use. Again, it was designed at that time for the 8 second SSTV system. I used it to put titles on the SSTV programs I was making on audio cassettes. It is still performing satisfactorily.
