K7YZZ 7290 SSTV Camera

This is the second SSTV camera that I built. It is based on a circuit by Copthorne Mcdonald. He sent me a Westinghouse 7290 SSTV vidicon to use in this camera. It has a mechanical shutter to select two different exposure speeds. After the picture has been taken the stored image on the inside face of the vidicon is read out in the 8 second SSTV format. The camera is housed in another surplus aircraft radio cabinet and the power supply is built into this camera. The lens that I used in both cameras were surplus aircraft gun camera lens.
