Water Energy
The density ratio between water and air is about 600:1 . The result is that a water powered turbine with the same power as the same form driven by a wind system can be about 600 times smaller in volume.
Most of the current small systems of around 5 KW are connect to some waterfall with about 50 to 100' of vertical drop. The output of the stream goes to several nozzles squirting high speed water against a turbine wheel called a pelton wheel after its inventor.
Another small water powered generator that I am very interested in is a design similar to a Kaplan Low Head generator.
