Digital Power and SWR Meter

The current project at W0LMD is building an all band digital power and SWR meter. The unit uses a 128 by 64 graphic display and a PIC 18F458 microcontroller to display the forward and reflected voltage on up to 4 bands.

Separate heads are used for HF, VHF, UHF, and L band.

The unit can also utilize a pair of pickup heads for a single band. In this case one head would pick up the forward and reflected voltage fromt he exciter, and another head would either pickup the forward and reflected voltage from the output of an amplifier, or the forward and reflected voltage at the antenna.

This SAI Digital Power and SWR meter is currently running as a prototype at W0LMD, and being prepared for product introduction Summer '03.
