The scene above is my backyard. I live in a solar house that I designed 30 years ago, and had custom built for me 23 years ago. It is located at Conifer, Colorado which is 30 miles SW of Denver, Colorado at 9000' altitude. The mountains in the background are almost 14,000' altitude and are about 15 miles West of my house.
We live in a High Technology world; this is the major contributor to an effect called "Global Warming". But we will never return to the primitive days, which had very little effect. If you naively think everyone is going to change because "It's the Green Thing to do", ask your wife to use Solar drying on the clothesline outside, instead of that nice electric or gas automatic drier convieniently co-located right next to the washer! I'll bet your HOA even has a covenant against Solar Drying! 'nough said about that.
This webpage intends to show how to live comfortably in our modern style and still minimize the affect we have on "Global Warming". In fact I intend to show you how you can live better, even more comfortably and save a lot of money in the process. When a salesman tells you to "BUY THIS GREEN XXX", it should be a red flag waving NO!
